About us

Cycle Peru was originally founded in 2011 by Louise and Rudy Vargaya Conza, Louise is a New Zealand native, and Rudy is from Arequipa, Peru.

We both have a background in adventure tourism, and had been working as tour guides in New Zealand, Peru and abroad.
When our passion for cycle touring got us exploring cycling routes in Peru we saw huge potential for a tour that offered a spectacular cycling journey through a country with a rich culture and history - the best of both worlds!

We operated from 2011-2019 before taking a break during Covid, and to raise the next generation of Cycle Peru guides, our beautiful children, Annie (6) and Matty (4).
It now feels like the right time to bring back the Cycle Peru journey.

Our business is family owned and operated, our local guide and now acting director, Ysabel, is Rudy's sister. Our long time driver, Alfredo is Ysabel's partner.
